Onyx brings home balloons and food from the prom thinking Jade can somehow experience the event through those things.When he manages to force Jade into dancing with him, he kisses her on the hand which makes her mad. The next day, Jade receives news about her college scholarship and she excitedly goes to her friend to tell him about it. When she finds him hanging out with Marissa, Jade tries to pull off a crazy bike stunt to impress him. However, she and Onyx end up injured, as the latter saves her from a major accident. Onyx tells her she has to give up her toughie act as a façade for her hang up over her relationship with her father. Zeny talks to Jade about this and makes her realize she doesn’t need to be a ‘boy’, she only needs to be herself to be loved by other people. Jade and Onyx soon make up and got through college together. One day though, while talking on the side walk, a SUV almost hits them and Jade is dumbfounded to see her father alight the vehicle.
